Daily Gratitude Journal Day 10

I am grateful for candles. I love candles. I love the ambience they create in my home. I love the fragrance they release. They are something I always have in my home and I am always buying them. The first thing I do in the morning is light up my kitchen candle. What a beautiful fragrance.

2 Corinthians 2:15

For we are to god the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and this who are perishing.

As I sit and enjoy the wonderful fragrance and ambience my kitchen candle creates, I am reminded of how we too are a pleasing aroma to the Lord. In order for this candle to release this fragrance so that others can enjoy it, it must be lit by fire. It needs to heat to melt the wax so that it can release this fragrance. We too release the fragrance of Christ Jesus when we go through the fires of life. When we go through our struggles and circumstances and hold on to the confidence we have in Jesus, we become a pleasing aroma to the Lord. But not only are we a pleasing aroma to the Lord, we are also an aroma of Jesus Christ to others around us. They will take notice of how you have gone through the fire and don’t even smell like smoke. In other words, you are not complaining and feeling defeated. Instead, you are strong in your faith and encourage others to get through their struggles. Remember, there is always another with you in the fire. Hold on the the Lord, be strong, and push through. He will get you through and strengthen your faith. This kind of unshakeable faith will show others who Christ is in you. It is a wonderful aroma and beautiful ambience of Peace!

Daniel 3:25

He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

I am a wife and a mom. The Lord has been working in my life. Throughout the last four years, He has flipped my life upside down, healed my heart, and given me a passion and vision to reach out and encourage women with His word.
