I am grateful for my morning walks with my husband. We take our dog for a walk every morning around our neighborhood. This is an opportunity for us to share any thoughts we have had the day before. We share any concerns we have. We plan our day. We laugh and enjoy our company together. It is also an opportunity to encourage each other. If we are going through a rough patch at work or at home, we speak words that lift up and encourage. It is refreshing.
John 7:38
“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
There have been times when our morning walks bring hard conversations. We may be going through a rough season and the only thing that will strengthen us is the overflowing, life giving, refreshing Word of God. It amazes how easily His word just flows out of our hearts when we need to hear it. Its a supernatural experience. It is isn’t something that we can do on our own. Just like scripture says, “living water will flow out of our hearts”. Flow means to move along steady and continuous. It isn’t forced, it just moves. But in order to experience this overflowing power, you must believe and drink form the well. Spend time consuming the Word of God. Make it your daily bread. The Holy Spirit will bring these teachings to remembrance and it will just begin to flow out of you!
John 14:26
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
